Brows and Lashes Q & A

EYELASH EXTENSIONS

WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Eyelash extensions are an amazing way to enhance your natural lashes
without mascara. Depending on the style you wish, the extensions are
customized for your eye shape and desired look. By placing artificial hairs
individually to the natural lash, this enhances your lashes immensely. From
an everyday look to full glam look, eyelash extensions allow clients to get
ready for the day in a blink of an eye.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

The extension stays bonded until the end of the natural lash growth cycle.
Due to an irregularity growth cycle, most clients come in for a fill 2-3
weeks after first applying eyelash extensions. The lash fill replenishes
fallen lashes and maintains the full look. The retention of the lash also
depends on how well the client takes care of the extensions. Avoiding oils,
gentle washing, and not rubbing on the eyes can allow for a longer period
before a fill.

WHAT CAN I DO BEFORE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Before coming in for your appointment please do the following:
- Remove all make-up and oils from the eye area and eyelashes for
longer-lasting lashes.
- Avoid using lash serums 2 days prior to the appointment date.

WHAT TO AVOID WITH EXTENSIONS?

- Excessively rubbing eyes
- Use of oil-based removers or creams.
- Sleeping facedown
- Picking or tugging on lashes
- Wearing eye makeup or mascara
- No water on lashes for up to 24-48 hours after the appointment

TOUCH-UPS & FILLS:

- Recommended every 2-3 weeks
- Prices may vary from depending on maintenance and care of the
lashes. 40% of lashes remaining will be considered a fill.
- Lashes after 4 weeks will be considered a full set

MICROBLADING

WHAT IS EYEBROW MICROBLADING?

Eyebrow microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo procedure using a handheld microblading eyebrow pen to draw on strokes of color to mimic the appearance of real brow hairs. The process is similar to getting a tattoo but the ink that is used is far less concentrated than that of a regular tattoo and is specifically formulated for the microblading process.

IS MICROBLADING RIGHT FOR ME?

While there are thousands of eyebrow products on the market, those that tend to opt for microblading want fuller, natural-looking eyebrows but don't want the hassle of filling them in every single morning, or the worry that the pigment won't last all day.

Microblading is contraindicated in pregnant women and other conditions so consultation with our certified technician is advised.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Microblading can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and the products that you use. However, touch-ups are commonly needed about once a year, especially for those with oily skin, as the ink tends to fade and blur faster.

At your microblading appointment, the area of your brow is sanitized and numbed, then eyebrow shape is drawn on in consideration of your face symmetry and age. Our technician will consult with you on the pigment of the ink she will use and together you will decide on the color you desire.

Then, she will proceed to drawing on the strokes using the microblading pen, which can take anywhere from 30-40 minutes, depending on the eyebrow area. After the eyebrows are finished, she applies an aftercare ointment to help healing and a follow-up appointment is scheduled in four to six weeks.

At this appointment, she is able to tweak the final result if needed, In order to prevent blurring or fading your technician will suggest keeping them dry from water and sweat for a week or longer, and to refrain from wiping. She also recommends applying an ointment once a day to speed up healing.

Immediately following the treatment, the brows will be darker and slightly red, but the redness and the pigment will slightly fade in color as the brows heal. Infection is always possible but unlikely if post procedure care is performed as per instructions. We use disposable products to minimize risk.
